Playa Las Lajas

Playa Las Lajas

Hidden Treasure

Playa Las Lajas is one of the most famous but unspoiled beaches of Panama on the Pacific.
You can walk along this sandy beach for miles and play in the warm inviting water and relax below a palm tree.

This 8 mile long beach has fine golden brown sand and a very gentle slope, making it very safe with gentle waves and no rip tides or undertow.
There are no sharks or stingrays neither.
Playa Las Lajas is in a tsunami protected area ( there are not even surges there!) and like all Panama, it's a hurricane free zone.

The Las Lajas Beach is at the end of a beautiful road off the Panamerican 4 lane Highway.
It's quite picturesque. There are many expats from North America and Europe. There is a low density of houses and businesses. There are 5 miles of pristine beach.
The village of Las Lajas is 10 minutes up the road , by the highway, and it's very quaint. There are quite a few Italian and German families there who have the best restaurant of the region.
There is also a police station, regional hospital, a private clinic and many general stores..
Playa Las Lajas is 1 hour from the city of David. (54 miles)
David is Panama's the second largest city outside Panama City Metro. There is an international airport and 2 private hospitals all the stores you need and even a Costco!
